In our October newsletter, Sarah Pike, Guild UFO contact, writes:

I am pleased to be carrying on the guild UFO Challenge as a way to keep us all motivated and inspired to produce more finished projects. The ultimate goal of our year-long challenge is simply to get the unfinished projects we have amassed completed (or at least progressed). There are no hard and fast rules to this challenge. You decide what constitutes a project and how many you will complete or move forward.

As quilters, we are all familiar with the concept of the UFO. What we may not be conscious of are the reasons why we tend to accumulate so many. I have developed a UFO Bingo card as a worksheet to track your progress Click here. The squares consist of types of projects that may become UFOs (new quilt kit, inherited project, workshop/class project) and some of the reasons that prevent them from being finished (did not turn out as expected, ran out of fabric, priorities changed). Consider the projects you choose to complete and if they happen to fit one of those reasons, check the box. You could force a Bingo be selectively choosing projects that fit the boxes. You can also simply list your projects (or phases of projects) at the bottom of the sheet. Please bring your finishes each month to be included in our Show and Tell.
